EN: What is Teralogica ?  Teralogica is journey into the fantastic world of analog and digital music, spheres and soundscapes. I mix classical instruments like the piano, guitar, flute or strings with electronical sounds. Music has many diffrent intentions: Dancing, relaxing, getting into a special mood. As a result the tracks are very diffrent in style, beat and tempo.

Why "Teralogica" ? Tera (Terra) is the substance, we came from and where we will go to someday. It´s part of our live, like music. Logica (Logic) you can find in any integrated cpu and computer-chips, which creates every sound you hear on my album.

Styles on Teralogic ? It´s a Mix between classical New Age, actual Ambient/Chill Out and Dance-Synthi-Pop. There are also some HipHop and Trance Elements.

DE: Was ist Teralogica ?  Teralogica ist eine Reise in die fantastische Welt der analogen und digitalen Musik, Spähren und  Klanglandschaften. Zu hören ist eine Symbiose zwischen klassischen Instrumenten wie dem Klavier,  Gitarre, Flöte oder Geige und rein synthetischen und elektronischen Sounds. 

Wieso "Teralogica" ?  Tera (Terra=Erde) ist die Substanz aus der wir stammen und in die ein Teil von uns eines Tages zurück kehren wird. Tera ist ein Teil unseres Lebens, genau wie die Musik. Logika, besser gesagt "Logic" findest Du in jeder CPU oder Logik-Baustein. Diese tollen kleinen Dinger erschaffen jeden der Klänge, die Du auf diesem Album hörst. Meine Musik auf Teralogika soll die mögliche Symbiose zwischen dem Klang eines akkustischen Instruments und den dahinter aufgebauten Synthie-Klängen aufzeigen. Daraus ergibt sich die Frage, ob nicht auch die Nullen und Einser, die mein Synthie an den D/A-Wandler schickt bereits ein Teil unserer heutigen Natur geworden sind. 

Styles auf Teralogic ? Ich beschreibe es als Mix aus klassischem New Age, gepart mit aktuellem Ambient/Chill Out mit einer  Priese Dance-Synthi-Pop. Aber auch HipHop und Trance-Elemente sind zu hören.

moonbooter nennt der Elektroniker Bernd Scholl sein Projekt. Bernd Scholl, den kennen wir doch durch zahlreiche Ambient- und Elektronikveröffentlichungen. Dieser Bernd Scholl hat aber mit dem allseits kannten nichts zu tun, lediglich die Namensgleichheit haben beide gemeinsam. „Teralogica“ ist sein erstes Album, es erschien Ende 2005 als CD-R. Elf Tracks hält das mit 66:52 Minuten gut gefüllte Album für den Hörer parat.

Der erste Track „First Sunset“ wird von einer recht simplen Pianomelodie, die auf einem Bassrhythmus gelegt ist, dominiert. Das klingt recht einfach, entwickelt beim mehrfachen Hören aber eine gewisse faszinierende Wirkung. Der folgende Track „Strandmusique“ hat wenig von einer verträumten Strandidylle, vielmehr ist es ein sehr schneller, popartiger, rhythmischer Track, der schon tanzbar ist. Auch „Let There Be Music“ hat einen gewissen Popmusik-Touch mit leichtem Kraftwerkeinschlag. Sehr klassisch und etwas ruhiger geht Bernd dann bei „Water Melody“ zur Sache. Wieder zaubert er eine recht einfache aber wirkungsvolle Melodie aus seinen Geräten. Aber auch für den Stereofreund hat Bernd etwas zu bieten, das zeigt er beispielsweise bei „Under The Surface“ bei dem die Sounds von einem zum anderen Ohr hin- und herfliegen. „Burning of You“ ist ein Track, bei dem eine weibliche Gesangsstimme für einen Gänsehauttreibenden Effekt sorgt. Sehr eingängiger Track, der auch über die Elektronikszene hinaus seine Freunde finden dürfte. Hat Bernd mal dran gedacht, den zu ’ner Radiostation zu schicken?  Bei „Beachjam“ geht es dann etwas jazzig zu. „Orgasmik“ fängt erst gemächlich an, steigert sich aber dann in einen stakkatoartigen Rhythmus der in Richtung Techno/Trance geht. Das ist noch mal ein Wachmacher am Schluss. moonbooter bietet auf seiner CD recht rhythmische, melodische und tanzbare Elektronikmusik, deren Elemente aus traditioneller Elektronik, Trance und Popmusik bestehen. So mancher Song entwickelt sich erst nach mehrfachem Hören. Also nur Mut und hört mal in die Scheibe rein. Stephan Schelle, Februar 2006

Moonbooter´s erste CD "Teralogica" lässt sich richtig gut hören und wird sofort angenommen .  Durch verschiedene Stilrichtungen der Elektronischen Musik bekommt diese CD eine eigene Note .  Der Rhytmus dominiert , die Melodien machen diese Musik zum Genuss . Der letzte Titel geht sogar schon in Richtung Techno ( und das war auch das Stück, was mir bei dem Konzert auf Burg Satzvey am besten gefallen hat ... ) Super CD , Bernd ! Analogue pulses and distorted voices get 'First Sunset' underway in quite a menacing way. Thick string pads and a doleful kick drum add to the atmosphere. I'm reminded of Numan intros, but perhaps that's just me. A simple piano refrain and synth melody weave through the thick backing. The track breaks down to pads and melody at the 4.30 min mark, before a triumphant close. A classy opening, very much in the Otarion and Detlef Keller (his solo work) vein.  'Strandmusique' is immediately busy, with syncopated beats and a modern stuttering sequence. A repetitive, marimba-like melody adds a Jarre-like sheen to the piece. It's a stirring track, perfect for lovers of up-tempo, melodic EM. A white noise sequence and vocal drone suggest more abstract territory as we begin 'Let there be music'. Soon a simple melody and second, very 'squelchy' sequence enter and the mood lightens.

A disembodied/treated female vocal repeats the title many times during the track – which I found a little irritating I must say. The melodics are very synth-poppy, recalling Vince Clarke in particular. 'Water Melody' opens with the sound of, er, water! Classical piano soon takes over, with subtle pads and effects in the background. Violin adds support and cements the classical feel. Pizzicato strings and guitar are then added. It's a very tame, but beautiful track. Glorious analogue arpeggios and contemporary beats open 'Under the surface', and are soon joined by vast pads. The beats solidify, a distorted vocal sample intones in the background and simple melodies snake through the mix. This is a classy track. Symphonic pads and an electrical pulse open 'Analog bubbles'. A wonderfully syncopated beat box and simple analogue melody again recall the implacable Vince Clarke. By the middle of the track we get quite a 'trancey' section with arpeggiated leads. This took me back to my youth and the joys of synth-pop.

The 'Wind blows' is up next and is a wonderfully animated body mover, with heavy beats and lovely melodic touches. The next three tracks present a little problem. 'Burning for you' features vocals and really belongs on a modern chill-out compilation. The music comprises warm pads and the sound of an old CR-78 beatbox (I believe). ' Beaachjam' is all smoky electric piano, strummed acoustic guitar and laid-back beats. It's the kind of thing you get on a gardening or interiors show. Perhaps they're best programmed out? Abstract effects

open 'Wrong Order', before a crunchy, contemporary rhythm and sequence build. A lovely analog melody fits the backing perfectly. The album is back on track now I feel. 'Orgasmik' brings the CD to a climax! From laid back beginnings it gradually builds into a trance anthem! A tough one this. Four of the tracks are going to alienate hard-core SMDers. But the rest would be enjoyed by Otarion or Axxess (and possibly Skin Mechanix) fans. The

quality of the music and production is very high, so perhaps it's worth a try for fans of the artists I've mentioned. (WP)

... Tous des artistes qui ont un point en commun; la passion de la MÉ. Est-ce de la Berlin School? Franchement je n’en suis pas certains. Les catégories, sous divisions et sous

genres connectés à la MÉ sont si similaires et contradictoires à la fois que c’en est déroutant. Mais l’important c’est la musique et ici nous avons un cd de 65 minutes de musique mélodieuse et énergique. De quoi passer un bon moment. Teralogica c’est Bernd Scholl (Ne pas confondre avec l’autre Bernd Scholl). Un nouveau venu qui a des années d’expérience sur la scène techno Allemande. Un artiste qui aime quand ça bouge, quand ça cogne. À

moins que l’on affectionne seulement la musique ambiante, il n’y a pas grands failles à Teralogica. First Sunset est une superbe mélodie. Le genre de truc qui colle à l’oreille. Un beau piano nous enchante sur une bonne ligne basse et pesante. Appuyé par de soyeuses percussions qui claquent avec discernement. Un titre léger qui a du punch avec de belles envolées synthétiques. Strandmusique suit avec dynamisme. Un titre agressif qui cogne

avec une lourde basse rythmique. Derrière ce beat d’enfer, et les percussions qui roulent, une mélodie synthétique virevolte et se promène au gré des variations séquentielles. Un autre truc soyeux qui accroche, surtout lorsque la section des cordes s’ajoute, donnant plus de profondeur et de recherche sonore. Let there be Music enchaîne avec un beat sur fond d’écho. Un autre beat ‘’tape du pied’’ qui est poussé par une voix électronique et une ligne de basse à saveur de plancher de danse. Water Melody est représentative de son titre. Une douce mélodie qui prend naissance sur un fond de vagues d’océan. Mélancolique le piano est rejoint par un synthé à la Kitaro et une couche de guitare, donnant un effet de ballade cosmique. C’est beau et ça détend. C’est aux limites du New Age. Le synthé à la Kitaro est sublime, tout comme les arrangements. Under the Surface reprend les mesures rythmiques. Le début est craquant avec les sonorités basses en forme de boucle. Les percussions s’amènent, augmentant la cadence, les synthés enveloppent, donnant plus de richesse. Un titre à tempo bouclé qui bouge sur des notes synthétiques en mode écho. Analog Bubbles poursuit sur un rythme tout aussi nerveux. Hésitantes, les notes progressent sur un fond tamisé d’un faible écho. Après le premier passage, le beat s’active plus sur des percussions claquantes. Le tout prend place et moule un rythme soutenu par un jeu de synthé éclectique et une bonne ligne de basse nerveuse. Wind Blows caresse les seules notes atmosphériques. Le tempo est suspendu et entouré d’effets sonores, dont une percussion qui s’anime de plus en plus. Le rythme progresse sur une bonne basse et un synthé qui accentue son étendue aux travers des différentes variations sonores. Ce qui donne un tempo atmosphérique différent des rythmes endiablés que l’on retrouve au long de Terralogica. Le rythme casse sur une superbe apparition du piano. Mélodieusement divin. Le style de titre qui accroche dès la première écoute. Là aussi, les arrangements sont superbes. Sensuel, Burning for You nous berce sur un rythme sobre et une voix féminine qui tranche dans cet univers métallique. Le genre de truc qui pourrait jouer à la radio. Beachjam embrasse un style jazz. Très léger il s’étire sur un mode hypnotique que des notes de saxophone et de guitare viennent embellir. Sous une intro où les percussions vaporeuses prédominent Wrong Order vrille et s’entortille sur un synthé fuyant aux airs de violon arabe. Un titre au tempo lent et envoûtant. Orgasmik sort de son cocon suavement. Les rythmes sont hésitants sur une bonne ligne basse qui attend le signal. Doucement le stroboscope sonore se met en marche

et le rythme techno déferle sur une sublime descente synthétique. Un titre survolté, qui a la bougeotte. Du délire t echnique/techno qui joue sur les rythmes et se termine sur un message ‘’vocoder’’ de Bernd Scholl qui vous invite sur son site web. J’ai été agréablement surpris par Teralogica et le travail de Moonbooter. C’est un titre qui a du coffre et qui se situe aux limites du techno. Bernd Scholl m’a carrément étonné avec ses arrangements et ses mixes. Chaque titre couve une mélodie, et chaque mélodie se démarque des autres. Ce n’est pas un piquage sans fin qui détonne et lasse. C’est bien travaillé, cousu et élaboré. Un travail génial. Faites vous plaisir et jouer le à haut volume, question de s’en payer toute une. Un excellent cd pour les chaudes nuits de festivités estivales. (samedi 15 juillet 2006).
